U-Type

A U shaped opening slides onto your lobe from the edge, and a clear spiral metal pad rests softly behind it. The hold comes from the gentle tension of the metal arc plus the pad's grip, and you can open or close the U slightly until it feels right. The small connecting ring may show from the front at certain angles. Best for all-day everyday wear, and anyone who wants to fine tune the fit themselves. C-Type

An open C shaped hoop holds your lobe with its silicon pad, and you can ease the opening slightly to fine tune the touch. The pad sits behind the lobe, so the front stays clean. This is the closure our Huggie Hoop is built on. Best for featherlight everyday wear and snug huggie looks. Skip it if you are shopping for a heavy statement piece.
Invisible-Resin
- The clasp is a single piece of clear, flexible resin
- Light enough to forget it is there
- Made for metal allergies and very sensitive ears
The entire clasp is clear resin that flexes to hold your lobe, so your skin never meets metal and the front shows only the earring itself. It can be eased open a little, but opening it too far relaxes the resin for good, so treat it gently. Designs sit a touch away from the lobe rather than flush against it, and it wears best a few hours at a time. Best for metal allergies and the most sensitive ears. Skip it if you want heavier earrings or an all-metal feel.

Spring-Hoop

One end of the hoop is a retractable pin backed by a miniature spring. Pull it open, set it on your lobe, and the spring keeps a light, steady hold at the contact point. Comfortable all day. Sizes run from mini huggies to larger hoops, so weight varies by piece; each product page lists its own. Best for hoop lovers with thin to medium lobes who want the pierced look. Skip it if your lobes run thick. The spring's travel is short, and our U-Type or Adjustable Hinged will fit you better.
Magnetic

The front piece and a small back plate hold each other through your lobe with magnets. Magnets hold best on thin to medium lobes; on thicker lobes, adding an extra disc restores the grip. Expect a light, temporary pressure mark after longer wear, so a few hours at a time is the sweet spot. Best for the fastest on and off, and the most convincing stud look we make. Skip it if you want heavier styles, or if the safety note below applies to you.
Safety note: magnetic earrings contain small, strong magnets. Keep them away from children: swallowed magnets can cause serious internal injury and need immediate medical attention. Not intended for children. If you have a pacemaker, ICD, or another implanted medical device, do not wear magnetic jewelry.
Hinged

One side of the hoop is a hinge, the other clicks closed around your lobe. Pierced hinged huggies work exactly the same way, which is why this closure passes the closest look. The hold is constant rather than adjustable, so it is happiest at dinners, events, and other outings measured in hours rather than a full day. Best for the truest huggie look, with a click-shut hold that will not move. Skip it if you plan to wear it well past the 8 hour mark.

A hinged paddle folds up against the back of your lobe, holding with a broad cushioned surface instead of a narrow point. Nothing we make holds tighter, and you will feel that hold after a few hours, so save it for the events where losing an earring is not an option. Part of the mechanism may show from the front at certain angles. Best for crowded rooms, dance floors, and any occasion where the earring absolutely stays. Skip it if you want to forget you are wearing earrings all day.

Ear Cuffs

An ear cuff simply wraps the outer edge of your ear and stays by its own shape. Squeeze gently for a closer fit, slide it to wherever looks best, and wear it all day. Tragus Cuffs
